Floor Plan Modification

Sometimes you find a floor plan for a house or a room that is almost perfect. It has nearly everything you could want to meet your needs, but it’s just not quite what you had in mind. If only you could make a room a little bit bigger or smaller, or add an island to a kitchen, a porch at the front door, or a larger walk-in closet in the master bedroom.

Alternatively, you might have looked through our plans and found you like part of a house in one set of plans, and part of another house in another set, and perhaps even a third set of plans has elements that you also like. If only you could mix and match all the houses to create your own custom floor plan design!

How Our Floor Plan Modification Service Works

commercial buildingAfter finding the plans that are close to what you were looking for, often a few modifications can turn them into designs that match the vision you had for your home. Just about anything you can imagine can be added, changed, or modified on any of our stock floor plans. You just explain what you want, and we modify the plan making any changes you wish to create the perfect version for you so you can have the custom home of your dreams.

Of course, you could save money by purchasing one of our plans and having your own builder modify the plans. This process is commonly called “redlining” in the construction industry. Your builder or general contractor uses a red pen to draw changes to our design. The problem with that is you can’t always be sure if the changes will cause conflicts and problems during later stages of the construction of your house.

That’s why to prevent potential problems, it’s best to have the architectural designers at Perry House Plans make the changes. That way we can modify the design to create a custom floor plan that employs the right structural elements and accurate math, so you don’t have to worry.

Can’t decide on the right floor plan? Not sure if floor plan modification is possible? Contact the experts at Perry House Plans today. We can help you create a custom floor plan design out of our stock drawings today.

Examples of Alterations
